Our Origins

Cole Gallery, our first gallery, is located in the heart of downtown Edmonds, Washington, just blocks from the ferry landing in the center of town. We feature nationally acclaimed Northwest painters and sculptors. Many of our artist’s works come from the influences of the Impressionists with a wide range of subject and style from whimsical to classical. We also feature an exquisite collection of realism from contemporary masters of still life, landscape and the figure. In addition to our beautiful gallery space, we have Cole Art Studio, an 1,100 square foot teaching space where Cole Gallery artists offer workshops and classes.

Cole Contemporary ~ An Idea Becomes Reality

After celebrating ten years of showing Impressionist and realist art at Cole Gallery, we wanted to expand our vision by creating a platform to showcase truly contemporary art, and Cole Contemporary was born.

"I believe that a gallery should endeavor to present a cohesive presentation of art and I found that it was challenging to mix abstract, contemporary art within our traditional setting at Cole Gallery. I had a vision for a new look, a fresh modern approach which is informed by design, inspired from modern art, with fresh bold colors and shapes, new concepts and a diverse perspective." Denise Cole, Owner

What We Do

Drawing from a diverse collective of artists from the Northwest United States, Cole Contemporary presents a virtual gallery of paintings available for sale as well as holding special feature shows for our artists. Showing art on a revolving basis, we bring in new art each month and send out beautiful full color emails featuring images of the art that has arrived.
